True story from Dakar
The power went out.
When it goes out at night, it's usually too hot to do anything but try to sleep. So I went to sleep and woke up about an hour later with a full bladder. But my apartment is literally pitch black when the lights are out at night.
But I had to go to the bathroom badly. So I prayed.
"Lord, just let the lights come on."
They came on for exactly 2 seconds, then went back out.
I laughed.
Then I said, "Ok Lord, let the lights come on long enough for me to just go to the bathroom."
They came back on.
I went to the bathroom and came back to my room.
The lights went out again.
